How it works
- Free eligibility check. We review your product type, volume, and destination to confirm IOR is the right structure for you.
- We register the import. Using our own EORI number and Dutch VAT registration, we file the import declaration on your behalf.
- Duties and VAT handled. We pay import duties and VAT and invoice you directly — no separate Dutch tax registration needed on your end.
- Ongoing compliance. For recurring shipments, we manage documentation and customs coordination for every arrival.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Dutch company to import into the Netherlands?
No. As long as an EU-established entity with a valid EORI number is named as Importer of Record, your goods can clear customs. A Traders fulfills that role on your behalf.
What’s the difference between Importer of Record and Exporter of Record?
Importer of Record applies when goods are entering the EU; Exporter of Record applies when goods are leaving. Some clients need both — for example, importing goods that are later combined or split into separate shipments and exported again.
How fast can this be set up?
Once your product and volume details are confirmed and the necessary documentation is ready, most clients are ready to ship within days — no entity formation required.
